FreeTypingGames.net

W/ lots of schools starting school next week, I decided to do a post on Keyboarding which is a popular subject in the computer lab in the first few weeks of school.  FreeTypingGames.net is a nice site for educators looking for some practice time on working on the different aspects of typing such as "home row".  Also, this is a nice set to choose your lesson and customize your WPM or Time.  Finally, there are two timed tests that students can take for typing as well as lots of different free games to choose from.

I highly recommend checking out FreeTypingGames.net by clicking here.

iColorType

iColorType is a new iPad app ideal for students learning how to touch type or keyboarding.  iColor uses a fun color coded keyboard to teach people how to type through muscle memory and hand eye coordination to reinforce the look-and-learn method.  Also, this app will track a user's speed and accuracy through a series of timed speed tests and learning modules.
